Exceptional opportunity for a lawyer to join the in-house legal team of an IT & Communication services business as the Assistant General Counsel. This role will be fully remote- working.

Role Profile:

Reporting directly to the General counsel with day to day contact with executive team including CEO, CFO & CRO.
Assist the General Counsel in implementing a professional legal process and structure within the business- The business requires to move from an owner managed business to a thoroughly professional Inflexion portfolio company and thus an M&A buy and build machine.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating client and supplier commercial contracts.
Draft and keep up to date various internal and governance policies.
Design and deliver governance and internal process training across the business.
Implement appropriate contract repository and management system.
Assisting the General Counsel draft appropriate new client terms and conditions for the provisions of IT services.
Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different contracts and arrangements.
Work closely with the sales team to understand deal structures with clients.
Conduct internal legal due diligence of M&A targets (2022).
Assist General Counsel and CFO in sourcing M&A targets (2022).

Preferred Attributes:

Minimum of 2-3 years PQE.
Training in private practice.
Strong drafting skills.
Experience of working in an in house legal team.
Commercial contract drafting experience, preferably IT, professional services contracts and managed service contracts.
GDPR experience.
M&A due diligence experience and understanding of deal process.
