Leading top tier Scottish law firm is looking to hire an additional Banking & Finance Lawyer to join their highly successful Scottish team. This role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow or full time remote working if preferred.

Role Profile:

The Banking team delivers high quality advice to a wide variety of lenders and borrowers across the UK working with an outstanding roster of panel appointments for banks, insurers and funds. The group’s strength and market position emanates from a unrivalled experience in a wide range of finance work including corporate banking, acquisition finance, property finance, project finance, asset finance, shipping, social housing finance, oil and gas finance and Pan-European financing structures.

The successful candidate will carry out a broad range of finance work as part of a large, motivated team. This will include acting for lenders and borrowers you will be responsible for all aspects of lending transactions. You will also be involved in marketing and business development initiatives.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Circa 2-8 years PQE experience in a broad range of finance work;
  • Enthusiastic about keeping up with the latest trends and decisions in finance law;
  • Proven ability to communicate well at all levels;
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise effectively;
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team whilst also using initiative;
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to change;
  • Proven ability to build effective client relationships;
  • Proven ability to solve problems and deal with client matters;
  • Strong aspirations to succeed;
  • Evidence to support keen interest in business development.
