Leading Scottish law firm is looking to hire an additional lawyer to join their expanding Financial Services Regulatory team based in Edinburgh.

The team enjoys an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally, for its high level of quality service and advice it provides to clients. The firm are interested in speaking to candidates at all levels- ideally, you will have had some exposure to financial regulatory matters however, ambitious and adaptable candidates interested in specialising in this area are also invited to apply. 

You will gain experience in the following areas:

  • FCA handbook and the principles of FS Regulation;

  • Funds regulatory experience;

  • Corporate deal support in relation to financial services clients;

  • Appointed Representatives rules and agreements;

  • Working with FCA and/or PRA;

  • Wealth/asset management;

  • Consumer credit;

  • Retail banking;

  • General or life insurance;

  • Payment services/e-money.

You will have excellent problem solving skills, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, excellent written and oral communication skills, and who are determined to provide a first- class service to clients.

The desire to work in a close-knit team and a strong work ethic are also essential.
