The UK based in-house legal team of a global acquisitions business is looking to hire an additional Corporate Lawyer to be based in Scotland.
Role Profile:
Working as part of a highly-successful in-house legal team your role will focus on advising on acquisitions, investments and project management.
The role will include:
- Drafting and negotiation of NDAs, data processing, sale and purchase agreements and ancillary documents in connection with portfolio acquisitions;
- Preparing internal contract summary and seeking internal approvals;
- Liaise with Acquisitions, Operations, Investment Compliance and Treasury teams as necessary to deliver portfolio acquisitions and investments;
- Maintaining legal templates in line with current practice;
- Providing assistance to Head of Legal (UK) as needed to support UK commercial relationships and projects;
- Opportunities to strengthen commercial skillset and develop relationships with key stakeholders across the business operation by drafting, negotiating and agreeing day-to-day legal documents as needed to support the business and advising on existing contract compliance and termination;
- Providing support, general advice and guidance, from time to time, on other ad-hoc general legal, governance and regulatory matters;
- Deputising for Head of Legal, UK in local management meetings as required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Fully qualified lawyer with a background in transactional corporate law and 5+ years PQE.
- Strong relationship management skills.
