Global law firm are looking to hire a junior Legal Counsel to join their internal, international Office of General Counsel team- this role is based in Glasgow with hybrid-working on offer. 

Role Profile:

  • Be a Legal Innovator: Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial contracts, from cutting-edge software licences to strategic supplier agreements, all while leveraging the latest legal technology and AI tools to streamline processes and deliver results.
  • Drive Change: Collaborate with colleagues across the globe to develop and implement forward-thinking legal solutions, using your project management skills to lead initiatives that enhance efficiency and add value to our business.
  • Shape the Future: Play a key role in developing and refining our internal templates, guidance notes, and playbooks, ensuring our legal operations are always ahead of the curve.
  • Champion Compliance and Risk Management: Advise on complex regulatory and compliance matters, including data protection, anti-money laundering, and ethical queries, helping us maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
  • Empower Our People: Deliver practical, actionable advice to partners, lawyers, and business teams, supporting their success and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay Ahead: Monitor legal and technological developments, sharing insights and driving the adoption of innovative practices across the firm.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (Scotland and/or England & Wales) with 1-4 years' post-qualification experience.
  • A passion for technology, with a keen interest in legal tech, AI, and project management—and a desire to use these skills to transform the way legal services are delivered.
  • A creative, solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge the status quo and propose new ways of working.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive, energetic approach to problem-solving.
  • An enthusiasm for internal legal advisory work within a professional services or regulated environment.
