Leading Scottish law firm are looking to hire  a Newly Qualified (NQ) lawyer to join their high-ranking Media and Technology team based in Glasgow. 

Overview:

The Media and Technology team has a busy and diverse practice, acting for a range of UK and international clients across food and drink, technology, life sciences, financial services and other commercial sectors. Services include intellectual property, ICT and technology advice, information management (privacy, data protection and freedom of information) as well as input into broader commercial and corporate transactions. 

The role will include:

  • Advising clients in the UK and internationally on intellectual property strategy, helping them to identify, protect and commercialise their intellectual property rights; 
  • Advising clients on life sciences transactions and regulation;
  • Working with clients on advertising and marketing projects including advertising regulation, data protection and commercial advice; and
  • Transactional work on IP licensing and other IP transactions, including input into corporate transactions, media agreements, sponsorship agreements and other commercial contracts.

Candidate Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have acquired some experience during their traineeship and/or career to date in intellectual property, data protection and technology transactional work.
  • The role requires working with teams across the firm, often to strict deadlines, and will require good organisational and communication skills.
