Unique opportunity for a newly qualified (NQ) or Junior Corporate/ Commercial lawyer to join the in-house legal team of a leading international marine & engineering business based in their head offices in London.
Role Profile:
Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will be joining a business that offers a face-paced environment and one where the company will be entering a deal process in the coming months. This is a rare opportunity for the successful candidate to gain 'hands on' deal experience in an in house environment working directly with the General Counsel and Company Executive. The main tasks of the successful candidate will be as follows:
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts from NDAs, Ts & Cs, Service Agreements, Collaboration Agreements etc.
- Providing legal advice and managing relationships with senior stakeholders across our international group.
- Compiling a data room and managing a diligence process for the envisaged deal process.
- Assisting the General Counsel throughout the deal process and providing corporate legal advice.
- Providing general legal advice on matters across company group.
Candidate Requirements:
- You have at least a 6 month seat in a Corporate department or via post-qualification experience.
- Experience in corporate deal processes is essential.
- Experience of commercial contracts would also be desirable.
- Some international travel will be required with this role.
