Ref: 335 Date Posted: Thursday 16 Jul 2020

Excellent new role with a leading Scottish law firm who are looking to hire a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor (NQ-circa 5 PQE) to join their highly-respected Pensions practice. Ideally, this role will be based in Edinburgh where the majority of the team are located, however candidates looking to be based in Glasgow or Aberdeen are also invited to apply.

Role Overview:

The pensions team is known for being friendly and collegiate, and working across all three offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.  The team has an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally, for the high quality service and advice they provide to trustee, employer, local authority and pension provider clients. The successful candidate will work alongside Partners who are regarded as leading experts in their field of Pensions law.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Candidates should have experience in corporate transactional support work, and general pensions law experience, reflecting their level of qualification. Experience of advising on DC schemes and master trusts, and on contentious pensions matters, would be an advantage, but is not essential. English and Scots law qualified lawyers are encouraged to apply. The role will involve assisting more senior members of the team.

  • Candidates should possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn, excellent written and oral communication skills, and who are determined to provide a first-class service to clients.
  • The desire to work in a close-knit team and a strong work ethic are also essential.
