Excellent new role for newly qualified lawyer to join one of the leading competition and regulatory practices in the UK with this role being based in Edinburgh.

Role Profile:

 This will be a diverse and challenging role that will involve  working with clients on UK and EU competition law, state aid issues, in both advisory and contentious matters across a wide range of industry sectors, such as utilities, media, sport and financial services. In parallel, the group provides expert advice on the UK and EU sectoral regulatory regimes for key network industries, notably in power, water and telecoms and, increasingly, payment services. The Group is also privileged to work with a diverse and sought-after client base within the UK and overseas, running major projects in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, and collaborating with partners in various specialist fields, such as economists and financial and technical experts.  

Candidate Profile: 

The successful candidate, who will be based in Edinburgh but will work with clients across the UK and overseas, will preferably have prior experience of working in the competition law and / or sectoral regulatory field.  You will be enthusiastic team player, with a passion for his or her subject, a commitment to high standards and an ability to take on responsibility and meet challenging client demands. All members of the group are expected to play a full role in our business development activities and enjoy a high degree of direct client engagement.
