Leading Scottish law firm are looking to hire a Scottish Qualified Residential Conveyancing Lawyer NQ-2 PQE to join their property team and undergo re-training in England and Wales so they can join they can work in their English Property team based in Glasgow..

  • The successful candidate will provide support to the Glasgow-based team which forms part of the English Property Unit, whether assisting with English work generated within Scotland or work referred to the team by our London office.
  • Day-to-day work within the team is varied and includes assistance with cross-divisional matters in which the English Property Unit plays a key role e.g. real estate and development finance transactions, insolvency transactions, energy deals and support on corporate deals.
  • In addition to working on your own files (including work for lenders, energy companies and house builders) and assisting senior team members, there will also be a need to assist with the supervision of more junior team members.
  • For this particular role, high value residential conveyancing experience is preferred (acting for funders and private clients).

Candidate Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an appropriate range of legal knowledge within the property and infrastructure sector to join a thriving and growing practice.
  • In addition to the technical skills, the successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team, have strong problem-solving skills, and be willing to take an active role in the commercial development of the business.
