International law firm are currently looking to recruit bright and ambitious specialist procurement/public law litigators to join our national team- this role can be based in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds or London.

Role Profile:

  • The role will focus on high value and complex matters, often including acting for government departments or major corporates.
  • Acting for a diverse sector base, the successful candidate will gain direct experience in all aspects of disputes avoidance, management and resolution of high quality and highly complex disputes. 
  • The team is involved in many of the leading procurement cases and has considerable experience acting for both the public and private sector and working with the leading barristers in this field.
  • Role would suit a lawyer operating at Associate level (or equivalent) is the ideal candidate and with a solid understanding of the key principles within this practice area who is eager to work with and learn from our market-leading experts.

You will have a broad diet of work that will include, but not be limited to:

  • Advising on all aspects of disputes avoidance, management and resolution of high quality, highly complex disputes across a range of sectors;
  • Assisting with disputes and the preparation of strategies for dealing with claims, be they by international arbitration, litigation, adjudication, expert determination or mediation;
  • Advising and supporting non-contentious colleagues on procurement and public law issues including providing early strategic advice to minimise the risk of challenge or preserve rights;
  • Drafting, reviewing and amending a range of dispute related documents (ranging from pleadings to pre action letters);
  • Strategically advising clients and managing client expectations and project delivery appropriately;
  • Liaising with and taking instruction from clients;
  • Attending client meetings, mediations and court hearings;
  • Business development; and
  • Legal research.
