Ireland currently has significant recruitment activity with the majority of the traditional law firms, in-house legal teams and new law firm entrants to the Irish legal sector. We currently see aggressive recruitment strategies once more to meet the demand across a broad range of legal disciplines. Ireland remains ‘optimistic’ about the long term impact of Brexit and Dublin is already benefiting from the impact of an increase in foreign investment and an expanding private legal practice market.
The lion’s share of the commercial law firms and in-house legal teams remain in the capital and Dublin continues to be a location of choice for many European and international organisations.
Alternatively, we have seen a number of Irish law firms and in-house legal teams expand their operations outside of Dublin with expansion in other cities including Cork and Galway. We would also anticipate that flexible-working is here to stay and will allow a greater degree of flexible options for lawyers looking to work with a Dublin based company but with the flexibility to work from home or with reduced days in the office.
